E-Waste Policy

1. SCOPE

As a technology platform facilitating EMI-based device financing, Sujeet Uttam Hankare may come into contact with electronic devices through partner service operations. This policy governs the responsible handling of such e-waste.

2. REGULATORY FRAMEWORK

• E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022
• Environment Protection Act, 1986
• Guidelines from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB)
• Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework

3. OUR COMMITMENTS

• All e-waste generated through our operations is channelled to CPCB-authorised recyclers
• We do not dispose of e-waste through informal channels, landfills, or incineration
• Partner retailers are encouraged to collect and segregate e-waste from customers
• We maintain annual e-waste management records as required by applicable law

4. PARTNER RESPONSIBILITIES

My EMI Locker partner retailers are encouraged to:

• Not accept e-waste in general waste bins
• Guide customers to authorised e-waste collection points
• Cooperate with manufacturer take-back programmes
• Maintain records of e-waste collected for periodic reporting

5. CUSTOMER GUIDANCE

End customers whose financed devices have reached end-of-life should contact the original device manufacturer or visit a CPCB-registered e-waste collection centre for responsible disposal.

6. REPORTING & COMPLIANCE

We submit annual e-waste compliance reports to applicable regulatory authorities and cooperate with all inspections and audits.
